I have anticipated that tRump would resign to be pardoned by Pence.

And instead work to help himself face lesser charges by turning against trump. Pence knows too much on trump, and trump hates his guts and doesn't trust him, and he can't fire him. Hopefully Pence doesn't resign now , and for trump to put his daughter in for his pardon after resigning.
