If Pence wants any kind of political future at all,

he needs to act immediately on the 25th amendment.

"Enough is enough...." (so said Lindsay Graham last night in his speech).

The psycho needs to GO!!

8. Agreed

If Donnie has enough of his marbles left, he’ll be running in 2024 and will. Be throwing dirt at Father Pence. If Father Pence decides to act for the good of the Republic, the wingnuts will trash him anyway. He might as well do right by the country and allow some of the country remember him as a patriot.

4. If he has one drop of decency he will refuse to pardon the monster who attempted to overthrow

our government. He has been an enabler and sycophant as well. The thought of how he would praise his boss as though reciting a prayer in church still makes my stomach churn.

5. He doesn't deserve a political future.

His best shot for future employment would be to scour the want ads to replace an evangelical preacher who was forced to resign due to a sex scandal.

7. I think he was after Rushbo's job. And he just lost it.

He was a radio personality before. It would be very lucrative. And safe. And he got screwed by 45 like everyone else as soon as he got off his lap.

10. Potted Plant Pence has no political future.

His name will be associated with that of Donald J. Trump forevermore.

11. The problem is he has no political future

Half the Republicans hate him.

He will never hold political office again.

So he is trying to decide which course of action will benefit most in other ways down the road.

12. Weird dude, not deserving of further office. But I suspect he may have played Trump. They've

known for years the role the VP plays in leading congress through electoral count. Think the first time Trump demanded Pence hijack the process was this week? Think Trump didn't ask McConnell for help also? I'm sure, ahead of time, Giuliani and others gamed out various ways to help Trump in case of a loss.

Speculation...but I believe Pence didn't say 'no' until yesterday because he knew that either: 1) Trump would fire him and try to replace with yet another toadie, or 2) Trump would find another more harmful way to stay in office. Goes for McConnell and perhaps others as well.

Could be they let him think there was hope so he wouldn't be even more desperate and unpredictable. I'd like to think that...otherwise there was a plan to hijack the process and all these people decided at the last minute it wouldn't work.
