If Donnie has enough of his marbles left, he’ll be running in 2024 and will. Be throwing dirt at Father Pence. If Father Pence decides to act for the good of the Republic, the wingnuts will trash him anyway. He might as well do right by the country and allow some of the country remember him as a patriot.

our government. He has been an enabler and sycophant as well. The thought of how he would praise his boss as though reciting a prayer in church still makes my stomach churn.

Half the Republicans hate him.

He will never hold political office again.

known for years the role the VP plays in leading congress through electoral count. Think the first time Trump demanded Pence hijack the process was this week? Think Trump didn't ask McConnell for help also? I'm sure, ahead of time, Giuliani and others gamed out various ways to help Trump in case of a loss.

Speculation...but I believe Pence didn't say 'no' until yesterday because he knew that either: 1) Trump would fire him and try to replace with yet another toadie, or 2) Trump would find another more harmful way to stay in office. Goes for McConnell and perhaps others as well.

Could be they let him think there was hope so he wouldn't be even more desperate and unpredictable. I'd like to think that...otherwise there was a plan to hijack the process and all these people decided at the last minute it wouldn't work.
