Capital police never checked on the congress people. They could have been shot or held captive for all they knew. Hours passed.
Ensuring their physical security throughout the ordeal should have been their top priority. Not knowing or checking on them is unforgivable

My first rude shock was hearing that they burst into the chamber, got Pence out, and essentially told everyone else youre on your own.
