the evil they do...along with corrupt politicians using the nativists for their own perverse purposes, corrupt law enforcement and even corrupt fire departments (thinking of today's revelation that fdny were involved in the riot/insurrection)...very scary...

And there were even women fiercely involved in the rioting, in both the movie and the real event.
