I am very thankful that TLP is making these videos on ourbehalf. All these years that they have been Republicans, how have their work product not been wiping the floor with Democrats?

38. TLP are very sophisticated political operatives. I think ...

... there is more to their efforts than is obvious.

They tell us that their strategy going into the election was two fold, and that they put together two different campaigns. One was to sow doubt among wavering repubs and "give them permission" to vote against trump.

The other was to "get under trumps skin" with cleaver, entertaing zinger ads. Like this one. These are the ads that are usually featured on DU. And they are works of art!

However, I think there is a THIRD strategy in play. I don't think the zingers are only, or even principally, to annoy trump or trumpsters. I think they are targeted to us, to entertain, amuse and encourage donations. Something like fan service. They always end with a polite, unobtrusive appeal to donate.

But, just to be clear, I don't think there is anything wrong with this. I find them entertaining and engaging, and I hope they keep others engaged and informed.
