(18,157 posts)Trump leaves no money on the table. This is a Get out of Jail Free card in monopoly. Why wouldn't he take it. Chances are all his close associates have them with instructions to only use them upon conviction (or at least until the prosecution has presented its case - perhaps maybe just the discovery material will be sufficient).

Not sure how accurate that is, but it was on ABC evening news.
I know he can change his mind pretty quickly, but that was the latest!

(4,736 posts)Has been warned that a self-pardon is either going to implicate him, or it will be struck down anyway. Also, I think someone has talked sense into him and may have threatened that if he pardons anyone in his own circle, he will find himself facing serious consequences and charges of sedition.
And Rudy is no longer one of his impeachment attorneys. Things are getting real.
