Taking it away from the bureaucracy. If that's what it's doing, I'm surprised this wasn't done near the first day rather than the last, but then, that's Donnie for ya.

spoils system.

Collectively, a long sought right-wing chestnut.

Some notable highlights:

- It specifies all 'rules' (regulations) made over the last twelve years be reviewed to see if they were signed by a political appointee. (Note, that this covers President Obama's term explicitly)
- It excludes the enforcement of any rules generated by career civil servants including career SESs.
- It claims to be making regulation generation more directly in the hands of those who are elected.

Also, there are the last two sections which AFAIK say, "Never mind".

Whoever wrote this up for Trump knows he won't read it, so I think it's merely to give him something to sign. It could easily be undone by another EO generated by President-(TOMORROW) Biden or a subsequent President.

So, long story, short. You are correct.

He passed no legislation. None (well, the 2017 tax cut for the uber-wwealthy).

He seems to think he makes laws. Um, Executive branch execute. Legislative branch legislates.

He spent all four years deliberately undoing ht eBlack guy's stuff with non-binding Executive statements.

Methinks Biden's staff already has the EO's written that say, "Whatever 45 said, yeah, no. We're not doing that"
