(15,278 posts)What I see as more plausible is targeting Murkowski to become an Independent who caucuses with the Dems like Sanders and King. Schumer could give her whatever committee assignments she wants. She's got some seniority that might even translate into a committee chairmanship.

as an aside - there are a lot of dreadful Rs with high visibility in this state; we could do worse - believe it or not
