Trump could end up in total financial ruin and he'll still live life of luxury in a mansion. His entire life is financed by his businesses, he can always just start another business and expense his life to that business ad infinity.

To you or I, that looks amazing, he'll still ride in private jets, have a limo take him everywhere and several luxury properties to live at. But to him, it's about the power his empire brought him, and the bragging right to be able to buy and sell who he wants. That being gone will make him feel like the loser he is.
