due to tRump doing something stupid!

This feels so liberating. I'm still trying to get use to not worrying about what the leader of our country is doing, or about what damage he is doing. After the four years we went through, this actually fills strange.

How are you all dealing with the lack of worry?

1. That's great!

I was with the family in the car today, and I changed the radio preset from CNN to NPR for the first time since November 2016. I know NPR has its issues, but it's so nice to hear "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me" rather than Jim Acosta or Kaitlan Collins speak about Trump's latest outrage.

I actually think my DU usage is going down, but I have to say this: without DU, I would not have been able to fathom the last 4 plus years.

2. I'm sleeping. Actually getting honest-to-goodness sleep.

Haven't had a nightmare. I don't wake up worrying. I haven't grabbed my phone immediately upon waking, to see what horrible thing happened while I was sleeping.

And I've been in a good mood. Isn't it amazing what can happen when you have decency in the White House?

4. It's taking me awhile

to decompress. Felt wobbly for the first couple of days. But today I streamed my church’s service and when our priest chanted “For our country, the president, and all those in public service let us pray to the Lord,” it felt so good. Finally.
