Trump doesn't have a legal defense because there is no legal defense for what he did on January 6th. He only has a political defense and nearly all Republicans will vote to acquit because they don't believe impeachment is Constitutional, or so they say. But they already had a vote on that issue and lost. But you can be sure that this will be the entirety of Trump's defense. So they will engage in a form of jury nullification in order to acquit Trump. This means that Trump will walk unless enough oligarch's break ranks by turning off the money spigot. While it could happen I am not predicting that it will happen. The boycott of My Pillow didn't drive a wedge between him and Trump and that is why I see them going down with the ship.
