...as if they were ever trustworthy to deliver truth and accuracy in news reporting. But I've heard this from a number of different "conservative" acquaintances and clients. I haven't asked what they mean because I don't want to get into politics with them at work. But I wonder if they have made the assessment against Fox because Fox said Biden won the election, or because of some other reason...I mean there are plenty of reasons that existed WELL before the election. But I wonder what's on their minds lately. Does anybody have a clue about this new talking point?

(2,429 posts)But I'm curious as to what they are talking about regarding not trusting Fox. I want to tell them, "NOW? NOW you choose to question Fox? After the birtherism, the Hillary email, Bengazi, socialism lies? NOW you decide they're lying?" I want to know because I'm hearing it a lot like it's a new talking point. What is it referring to? What event/reporting created such a talking point?

(37,322 posts)It was on the Clintons. The way the information was presented was interesting. Things were strung together in such a way that the person viewing would logically conclude, let's just say, "some very bad things". They could say, "we never said those things" and it's true.
That's how modern propaganda works. The capitalist-imperialist running dogs left the building a long time ago.

(17,862 posts)I think it is because of the Arizona call and the fact they had some dissenting voices regarding Trump's statements.
They are getting more evil.
Apparently a bunch of viewers jumped to OAN and Newsmax just based on the little pushback Fox did.
I used to have a coworker that was angry that Alan Colmes was on the show to offer his weak liberal opinion. Even Combs which isn't the greatest debater was too much for him. Eventually Colmes was sent packing and Hannity got a platform all of his own. Then O'Reilly who was firmly conservative but occasionally had some independent thinking self destructed and he was replaced as well (so Hannity and Carlson). That worked so well they then added Ingraham. Now they plan to add a fourth.

Paul Krugman wrote about it yesterday. Apparently the G.O.P. is in a death spiral and Fox News isn't following them down the drain.
