in one shot or be phased in ( like they did in some states). I believe Manchin was opposed to the sudden jump but not if its phased in.

A lot of people on both sides don’t really understand the nuances of Congress. They see the Republicans walk in lockstep and expect that the Democrats are as liberal as the QOP is fascist.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way.

For instance, in 2019 my state enacted a minimum wage law to be gradually implemented. Right now it is $11, and will rise a dollar per year to $15 by 2025.

The City of Chicago, however, passed a law that raises the minimum wage to $15 this summer. (It is currently $14.)

Quite a few cities have done the same, since costs of livings are higher, but an increasing number of states are doing so, though implementing at a slower pace.

Those people are angry Trump lost and will use anything to attack Biden and other Democrats while pretending to be "progressive" .

The is a technical reason why it might not be in it but hopefully it can pass separately if it is not included .

And there are some states or cities that already have 15 minimum .

Reconciliation can be tricky with this subject. I am actually left of Bernie on this. I want it raised to $15 right away with incentives for businesses that truly need help adjusting.

...you can not survive in this country on today's minimum wage...

...would you like to try surviving on today's minimum wage?

...good luck...
