Now the inexplicable delays in sending help is another matter. But I’m sure that hasn’t had time to be fully investigated.

FWIU, it took a phone call from Pence sheltering in place to get the National Guard in action.

The document is solid evidence for Trump’s treason.

Pentagon placed limits on D.C. Guard ahead of pro-Trump protests due to narrow mission

By Paul Sonne, Peter Hermann and Missy Ryan
Washington Post, Jan. 7, 2021 at 9:43 p.m. EST

The Pentagon placed tight limits on the D.C. National Guard ahead of pro-Trump protests this week, trying to ensure the use of military force remained constrained, as the Guard carried out a narrow, unarmed mission requested by the city’s mayor to help handle traffic ahead of planned protests.

In memos issued Monday and Tuesday in response to a request from the D.C. mayor, the Pentagon prohibited the District’s guardsmen from receiving ammunition or riot gear, interacting with protesters unless necessary for self-defense, sharing equipment with local law enforcement, or using Guard surveillance and air assets without the defense secretary’s explicit sign-off, according to officials familiar with the orders. The limits were established because the Guard hadn’t been asked to assist with crowd or riot control.

The D.C. Guard was also told it would be allowed to deploy a quick-reaction force only as a measure of last resort, the officials said.

Then the mission abruptly changed — and the Pentagon is now facing criticism from governors and local officials who say it moved too slowly to send National Guard troops to respond, a charge that its leaders denied Thursday.

The evidence seems to get in the way of exonerating a political party run by a fascist gangster.

And I proved I was all there, because I got -- I aced it. I aced the test. I took it at Walter Reed Medical Center in front of doctors. And they were very surprised. They said, that's an unbelievable thing. Rarely does anybody do what you just did."

All Billy ever really wanted was to head CIA.

Barr told a guidance counselor he wanted to head the CIA. From The New Yorker:

...When Barr was an undergraduate, at Columbia, his classmates marched against the war in Vietnam. Barr wanted instead to buttress American power. He had told a guidance counsellor that he hoped one day to lead the C.I.A., and, during breaks from school, he spent two summers as an intern there. In 1973, he finished a master’s degree in Government and Chinese Studies and returned to the C.I.A. as an intelligence analyst. At the time, a Senate investigation—known as the Church Committee—was uncovering decades of abuses at the C.I.A., and laws were being passed to curtail them. Barr later recalled the effort as a kind of assault, delivering “body blows” to the agency....

AP FACT CHECK:

Trump distorts record on National Guard in DC

By LOLITA C. BALDOR
January 8, 2021

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is distorting how he responded to the chaos at the Capitol this week, falsely stating that he acted immediately to bring in the National Guard.

How his statement compares with the facts:

TRUMP: “I immediately deployed the National Guard and federal law enforcement to secure the building and expel the intruders.” — video released Thursday night.

THE FACTS: That’s not at all what happened. While Trump was involved in discussions in the days prior to the Wednesday rioting about the National Guard response, he was not part of the decision-making that day. Defense officials have said they didn’t speak to Trump on Wednesday.

Maybe Gen. Flynn the Brother could shed light on things. He said he wasn’t there before he said he was.

Army falsely denied Flynn brother was in meeting on riot response: report

BY ELLEN MITCHELL
The Hill, 01/21/21 12:07 PM EST

The Army falsely denied for days that the brother of former national security adviser Michael Flynn was listening in on a key phone call during the Pentagon’s response to the Jan. 6 insurrection on the U.S. Capitol, The Washington Post reported.

It was not untoward for Lt. Gen. Charles Flynn to be on the call, given his role as the Army’s deputy chief of staff for operations, plans and training. The Army’s initial denial of his participation, however, raises questions as to the transparency of the Pentagon in revealing the facts surrounding that day.

Charles Flynn told the Post that he was in the room for a portion of a phone call during which the Capitol Police and D.C. officials urged the Pentagon to send more National Guard troops to respond to the violence after a mob of Trump supporters descended on the Capitol Building.

The rioters overwhelmed police, broke into the structure and disrupted lawmakers meeting to certify President Biden's Electoral College win. Five people are dead as a result of the chaos, including a Capitol police officer.

Top Army officials, however, were reportedly concerned about the optics of sending the guard to the Capitol.

busses, permits, insurance, all the fees incurred for the "protest." Also, skipped communication between frump and the mob. Also missed any inside police communications or actions. Capital police reports, congressional tours allowing seditionists to prepare their attack. On and on.

This was done at a kindergarten level: Simply: Did he ask them to attack using only public knowledge.

The real, legal indictments will have the real inside evidence. This is just forcing the gqp to take sides.

New York Times: “The Capitol Police asked the sergeants-at-arms to request that the National Guard be placed on standby. But the sergeants-at-arms, Michael C. Stenger of the Senate and Paul Irving of the House, rejected the request without raising the issue with either the Senate majority leader, Mitch McConnell, or Speaker Nancy Pelosi.”
