Expected ... whataboutism and decontextualization.
An appeal to anger and victimization.

The elephant in the room that the Trump lawyers cannot confront and have to talk around, of course, is that Trump was the nominee of the Republican Party and the president (who took an oath to defend the Constitution) with wholly different duties and responsibilities than anyone else in the nation.

"They did it too, so what are they complaining about?"

Strangely, I never saw Biden-flag-waving BLM protesters invading a government building carrying flexcuffs so they could kidnap or kill elected officials.

assembling a mob, wearing riot gear using bear spray, to physically impede in stopping the peaceful change in a democratically elected government by braking into the National's Capital building, killing one Capital policeman maiming 140 more, causing the death of fellow rioters , threatening to kill the members of the party that certifiable won carrying the LOSER'S flag.

Trump is again, not worthy of any governmental office! Well maybe in an authoritarian government, but not here!
