Funny how Santorum has been talking about his grandfather

grandfather fled fascism in Italy to the freedom of the American mines.

But why does he skip his parents generation?

His father got his education through the GI Bill, which he called the greatest gift he ever received. A social program got the Santorum family out of the coal mines.

And once he got that education, both Aldo and his wife took employment with the federal government. So taxpayer money put the entire Santorum clan through college and law school.

and in a couple of days it's going to be the one-year anniversary of his father's death.

And yet young Rick is completely ignoring dad in his family reminiscings and skipping right to his coal miner grandfather.

Could it be that there's not much propaganda value in BOTH your parents being federal government workers?

Could it be that nostalgiac stories about biweekly paychecks from the Federal Treasury, signed by a couple of faceless bureaucrats, don't resonate well with the GOP base?
