Tennessee Bill Would Give Fathers Veto Over Abortion
February 18, 2021 at 8:03 am EST By Taegan Goddard

“In an effort to further restrict abortion in Tennessee, two Tennessee lawmakers have introduced legislation that would allow a father to deny an abortion without the pregnant woman’s consent,” the Tennessean reports.

SB494/HB1079, sponsored by Sen. Mark Pody, R-Lebanon and Rep. Jerry Sexton, R-Bean Station, would give a man who gets a woman pregnant the veto power to an abortion by petitioning a court for an injunction against the procedure.

I am a woman.. and I am opposed to abortion of a fetus that can survive outside the uterus.. actually I am opposed to abortion being used as a contraceptive, but that particular concept to live by is mine and 52 cells (being snarky here) do not equal a human being.. but at some point of the development you have a fully functioning human being.. and frankly abortion or a c section.. both surgeries.. so you give the life a chance.. not every person who gives birth is ready to care for a human being, and capable of it.. having said all that.. its the woman's' body, and her choice..no one has the right to rule how someone else's body will be used

I see all these right to lifers and the first thing I want to see.. is how many of your children are adopted.. usually very few.. they want to rule others bodies and do not care a flying whit about the existing life..

rant off

in their med chest. Take the pill if you have sex whether you need to or not. Between her and herself. Not my business. And solves the problem instantly.

10. Taking "the morning after pill" after every time you've had sex isn't great advice.

People who use emergency contraception on a regular basis have a 25-30 percent chance of getting pregnant within a year. Some "morning after pills," such as Ella, should be taken only once a cycle. And the efficacy/safety of using multiple EC methods within one cycle varies greatly.

Taking any trips there out of my bucket list and once we both get vaccinated, traveling is definitely what we will be doing. Just not to TN.
