SB494/HB1079, sponsored by Sen. Mark Pody, R-Lebanon and Rep. Jerry Sexton, R-Bean Station, would give a man who gets a woman pregnant the veto power to an abortion by petitioning a court for an injunction against the procedure.

(22,874 posts)I am a woman.. and I am opposed to abortion of a fetus that can survive outside the uterus.. actually I am opposed to abortion being used as a contraceptive, but that particular concept to live by is mine and 52 cells (being snarky here) do not equal a human being.. but at some point of the development you have a fully functioning human being.. and frankly abortion or a c section.. both surgeries.. so you give the life a chance.. not every person who gives birth is ready to care for a human being, and capable of it.. having said all that.. its the woman's' body, and her choice..no one has the right to rule how someone else's body will be used
I see all these right to lifers and the first thing I want to see.. is how many of your children are adopted.. usually very few.. they want to rule others bodies and do not care a flying whit about the existing life..
