I had an appointment for tomorrow morning to receive my first shot of the Covid vaccine. Last night I got a text from my provider that the vaccine is not available for my appointment, so it has been rescheduled for next Sunday, Feb. 28. My original appointment was for Saturday, Feb. 13. They called me Wednesday, Feb. 10 to tell me that it wasn't available for that appointment, and rescheduled me for Saturday, Feb. 20. Mind you, I have been eligible to receive the vaccine for over a month now, as I am 69 years old with severe asthma. So I wait at home for my next chance at vaccine roulette. This is so frustrating! But, at least I can stay home and wait. Both of my children married teachers, who have been ordered to return to work in March, but cannot get vaccinated until July as they are under 50. If I could, I would forgo my vaccination (both doses) to give it to them! This all just sux so badly! Where the f**k is all the vaccine doses going? To assholes like Ted Cruz, that's where. I'm done here.

1. I can't even get an appointment, even one contingent on vaccine supplies showing up.

I'm just going to wait until there is no supply shortage.

I'm going to soon change my own safety measures anyway, vaccine or not.

2. I'm a healthy 80 year old with no issues but live in Florida. I figure around December or so I'll

get my shot. I live in a blue county, governor doesn't like us.

5. Feds just announced 3 mass vaccination sites starting in Florida within 2 weeks

At least that’s what I think I heard on the Friday CDC news conference 2 hours ago

shots but if they don't get the vaccine....well.

4. Here in Oregon my second shot was rescheduled too. Stating weather the cause. Not our weather,

but weather across the nation that slowed or delayed delivery. I was suppose to get it this Sunday and will not get it 2/28. Weather, what can you say as bummer as it is.

7. Thank you for that explanation. I'm in Western Washington state, and we did have 5 inches

of snow between Feb. 11th and 13th. It is likely that the freezing weather in the East and Texas has slowed the distribution of the vaccine. I will have to be patient, and thank all goodness that I'm: #1, on the list at my provider, and #2, I no longer live in Texas.

8. I hear you. I was looking forward to getting the second one done. But, it is cool. Another week.

It has been a year of isolation. What is in a week.

So, what part of Texas? I too have been counting my blessings in now living in very blue Oregon. Actually Or isn't that blue but I am in Eugene and that is. I was surprised seeing it voted red consistently before the 90's I believe. Not this rw'ers have lost the state for the most part and they are really pissed about it. The keep blaming people like me that moved here.

9. I lived in the Houston area for 20 years, then moved to the Austin area

for about 10 years. When my daughter and her family moved from there to the Tacoma area in 2015, I sold my house and moved here as well. Since my son and his family moved to Washington state back in the early 2000's, I have no family remaining in Texas. My friends back there remind me that I'm lucky I got out in time....
