2. My fervent hope is that the tack he has taken will come back to bite McConnell on the ass.

Right down to the bone.

3. It will be interesting

to see how the rethug senators vote.

Also, Cancun Croooooze was an absolute shit while questioning. Pretending to care about partisan law enforcement. He seems to like it when it's his party making the decisions.

6. He has excellent experience combating domestic terrorism

and is more than qualified to seek justice for the issues at hand right now as Attorney General

Here's my earlier post about his background https://www.democraticunderground.com/100215136226

7. That's ANOTHER reason the Repugs never liked him

"We want to have all options on the table, see?"

18. Republicans did, in fact, "like him"

Too many people here on DU seem to forget the history.

It was republican senators who proposed him to Obama in the first place... and republicans senators who were ready to race to confirm him during the lame duck session if Clinton had won the presidency... while DU wanted to dump him in favor of a more progressive nominee in that event.

I suspect that there are dozens of them waiting to vote for him to show hire bipartisan they can be... when it’s really that they’re happy to not get a partisan firebrand in charge of the DOJ.

phenomena if this tumultuous time.

20. He would have been confirmed as SC Justice also. But the problem was McConnell refused to even bring

up the issue for a vote. This is where most of the power of the Senate(and House) leadership is in. The ability to decide which issues will be discussed and brought up for votes and which things wont be .

come up for a vote .
