Why isn't Russian Roulette a more popular sport in Texas?

Hell, with a six shot revolver, a player has an 84% chance of winning every time. Those are better odds than in Poker.

I wonder if Exxon will now drop their mandated hard hat regulations at all of their refineries.
Will Texas kick Walmart out the state if Walmart still requires mask?
Why don’t they act like real men and reject their vaccine allotment?

There just isn’t any logic to this shit anymore. Elected officials just have no concern for the citizens that elected them.

This isn't just about Texas. It's common among most states that are GOP-controlled.

"Will Texas kick Walmart out the state if Walmart still requires mask?"

No, as was clearly noted, businesses can still require them and many will.

I’ll bet my golf clubs that there will be at least 5 people arrested before next Friday for their unruly protest.

Masks have been required by stores, restaurants, etc. in many Texas cities pretty consistently even when not explicitly required. There are always the freaks who don't want to wear them and the businesses who won't require them, but they're a minority and this is unlikely to change anything. None of the major chains have backed down when mandates have been lifted previously, nor do I expect them to now.

We're in a purple TX suburb. Went to our local HEB (a large grocery chain) so my partner could get a covid vaccine (I needed to be present in case she had a reaction). The place was packed and I saw a total of two people without masks. I've heard and read similar stories about Dallas, Houston, etc. Everyone knows that the state response is a joke so most act accordingly. Otherwise, our numbers would be even worse than they are.

Also, they don't use a revolver. They've got a Glock with a cartridge chambered that they hold to their collective heads whenever an emergency occurs.

So it's not click-click-click-click-click-BOOM! It's just BOOM!!!

They later announced that they were allowing people who refused to wear them to still shop, essentially to avoid physical confrontations. I suspect it's also a staffing issue in some instances.

The signs on the door say masks are "required" but there is no visible effort to do more. At my local Walmart, the "requirement" is often honored only in the breach.

If a "requirement" has no enforcement, it is at best a suggestion.

They are still technically required in Walmart in those states, though they are not enforcing them in all locations.

In Texas, for example, businesses are still free to require them, even under the new 100% open status.
