My vaccine experience

Got the Pfizer 1st dose yesterday in Dover, DE after failing to find a J&J. I've had no effects that I can tell--although I feel tired, but I had a crappy long week and had to get up early so I'm not sure what's related to what. No injection site issues and, during the actual injection, I couldn't even feel it. I usually feel a pinch during flu vaccines and I almost did not believe that the guy actually injected me---but my friend watched it go in and assured me that I had gotten the vaccine.

So far today, so good. We shall see how the second dose goes in early April.

1. Good for you!

I get my second Pfizer shot tomorrow morning. I'm planning to start regularly visiting grandchildren again in two weeks!

3. If there's one thing the four years of orange hell taught us.....

I did always appreciate the many good things in my life, but I think I learned even more not to take anything for granted. Like a peaceful existence without having to wonder what chaos every new day would bring because of an orange monster with the power to ruin all of our lives.

It's starting to really feel like life can be normal again.

4. The "I did not feel it at all" has been the response

to almost anyone we have heard from. My husband got Pfizer and I got Moderna. We are both retired RNs. Mine was given by a hospital LPN, his by a National Guard person who he did not question their "other job". We both comment that they were excellent injections. When I get my second Wednesday, I may ask the gauge of the needle. He had his second last week. He did have a reaction (which we consider to be a good thing). He had chills and muscle aches during the night. But whenever he has had flu like illnesses, those muscle aches were expected.

5. I've had both doses of Pfizer.

A little soreness. A little lethargy. That was it.

7. Had my J & J shot yesterday afternoon

The shot itself was painless. Have had a mild headache off and on (goes away w Advil), arm a little sore. Hope this is the worst if it as I have to watch my 2 yo granddaughter all day tomorrow.

8. Pretty much the same experience I had from jab #1 of Pfizer

I remember a little fatigue but I hadn't slept well, the night before. My 2nd jab is this Thursday.

9. My wife got her first Moderna dose yesterday.

Her arm is a little sore this morning, as was mine after my first shot two weeks ago.
