A long hauler truck driver talking about this recently. May have been a call in on Thom Hartmann show.
He has seen a dramatic decline in recent years. Especially through the farm belt where he use to have to scrap bugs off every few hours. Now, only a small fraction of splatter.

Yes it is disturbing. Pollinators feed us and we are destroying them. I think Murder Hornets are just pissed off bees sick of our pollution. They are coming for us.

including 39 blacks, to prison due to his own personal sting with no evidence and no witnesses.
John Cornyn was TX AG then and gave the cop "TX Lawman of the Year" award.
Vanita Gupta got them all thrown out (though many did time).
Looks like John is still a little red-faced.
Gupta's confirmation is tomorrow.

He had help.

Cornyn Belongs In Prison - I posted this right after watching Rachel's segment.

https://www.democraticunderground.com/100215264875

And the cop puts 46 innocent people behind bars with his lies and does no time.

This is beyond sick.

Thanks Rachel.

The arrogant ass like Cornyn could not have left things alone. He made a mistake. The county law enforcement and judges or whatever in Texas made a mistake. But no he couldn't let pass that he was embarrassed all those years ago by a young civil rights attorney so he has to make things hard for her as well as for the Dems. Well, I hope this gets shared a lot and he is further embarrassed. I hope it trends on Twitter (I don't tweet) and it gets emphasized what an ass he is. They are slow walking anyone who needs Senate confirmation to make governing harder, but I hope this one bites him.

...because a segment on Rachel Maddow's show today, however damning, isn't going to impact a Senator who was just re-elected and has six years before his next contest.

he is immediately scraped off the windshield isn't the issue. The point is that he has been very publicly exposed as the vindictive racist bully he is. That he has cultivated a more cultured veneer is testimony to his awareness that decent people would find him too unsavory otherwise; cracking that veneer does him no favors. What his constituents do with the information is up to them.
