I think she was the one who asked Biden today if he was planning to run again and have Kamala as his VP!

(31,261 posts)My guess is she let something that was on her mind slip out as a question. I have actually read people here on DU speculating that President Biden wont run for re-election.
She is a solid young reporter, hopefully she learn from this.

(53,881 posts)... she knows what isn't a good question to ask a President in only the second month.
That question almost a joke.

I guess he brought a new lesson plan to the WH press corps, you will be embarrassed if you ask stupid questions, not by him as his predecessor did but by the GP.

No sympathy for shit stirrers.

(113,079 posts)about the fact that Biden hadn't done a press conference sooner, you'd think they could have come up with better, less idiotic and obvious gotcha questions. Hers wasn't the only dumb one; probably the dumbest was the idiotic query about whether he thought the crowded conditions the immigrant children were being held in were "acceptable" to him. He batted that one away by asking incredulously and appropriately, "Is that a serious question?"

about his plans for 2024. It was actually Nancy Cordes, who is CBS News chief White House correspondent.
As reported by CBS:

I'm a bit saddened about the reaction to Kaitlan Collins in this thread. My opinion of her has always been positive. Turn on CNN at 7:00 AM, and there's KC reporting from in front of the WH. Throughout the day, there she is again. Then, finally at 11:00 PM, once again KC is filing her report from the WH lawn.
Then too, ask her a question and she's off and running, with the facts at hand and delivered without hesitation. How does she pack so much in without taking a breath?
Her career is apparently her life. Personally, I'm happy to see her success. She's earning it, IMO.

(15 posts)and request Biden clarify the previous question as his response was non-committal. She then asked if Harris would be his running mate and if Trump would run. With that in mind criticism of the questions is valid as not KC's finest moment but not all the vitriol and personal attacks. I prematurely jumped to her defense same as you out of respect. She deserves to be treated with more dignity and respect than she is on this thread as she has always been pretty good in her reporting. With all due respect Biden will not be running in 2024 either by fate or by choice so the question not totally ridiculous.
It's what we are all thinking the timing and setting was just wrong.

She does appear to be a hard worker.
I have seen people here on DU speculating whether Joe would run again. In my view, if he feels up to it, he should run again. Looks like he feels up to it.

I mean Bill Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar and still managed to make a fool of himself.
And there was that astronaut who drove all night in a diaper to murder her competition.
In the overall scheme of things this is nonsense not even worthy to be debated as important.

Whitehouse reporters to. The irony is epic. Apparently we have learned nothing.
