Emergent screwed up their J&J production, and none of what they made is in circulation.
The other two vaccines approved in US (if your step father is in US) are Pfizer and Moderna.

The current shipments are from The Netherlands. The supply was expected to shift to the factory, but since there were issues there, the J&J supply will be tapering off greatly until something is resolved.

Rescheduled early Sunday. He anticipated Pfizer and Moderna becoming more available. Apparently they're picking up the slack where as J&J is having problems. This is happening a lot with others. It's probable his J&J appointment would have been cancelled anyway.

Marginalizing people's feelings about getting the vaccine does not encourage them. He's 87 and made an intelligent informed decision. He smarter than a lot of people I've encountered during COVID.

Regarding "breakthrough" cases of vaccinated people getting infected, this happens with all three vaccines we have approved, since none of them are a 100% effective. Also, vaccines are less effective against some covid variants.

No side effects yesterday, but today feel a bit rundown and my joints are a little stiff and sore.
