This may be an appropriate time to discuss "bi-partisanship" with Mitch McConnell.

Last night, Donald Trump declared war on McConnell. He called him a dumb "son of a b*tch".

How much more proof does McConnell need, to know that his days are numbered? Trump's goal is to take over the Republican Party from Mitch McConnell and the establishment Republicans.

If he was a wise man, he would sit down with the Democrats and figure out a way to save our democracy and stop worrying so much about getting back his majority.

How many more times does he need to be kicked by a mule?

about what The Former Guy thinks of him, either. Mitch is interested only in power. He wants to be Senate Majority Leader again and he doesn't give a damn what he has to do to get that power back and keep it. Trump is fading, for all his bluster, and Mitch will still be in the Senate after the GOP is finally tired of Trump. He's old, but turtles live a very long time.

He probably isn’t running for re-election.
Republicans in general, apparently don’t care if their minority leader is insulted Either.
As for our Democracy, Mitch is more or less indifferent to it.

with Manchin.

Clearly the Republicons have no plans to "reach across the aisle".

the floor. It looks like they are pushing the Infrastructure Bill first and even then how long before that comes to the floor ? The point I'm making is that this is hopefully posturing to his WV audience and certainly not to progressives. Effectively he's the Democrats "Susan Collins", and as we know she got there in the end for Republicans, when it matters.

Since this is important to him, it only seems appropriate.

... to get some of the clear eyed ex-republicans who have bailed on the party after seeing what it has become to talk to Manchin. The ones that have cone to the conclusion that the fastest way to get back to a more genial style of politics is to burn the zombified shambolic corpse of the republican party to the ground before it can do any more damage.

The Turtle still wants to play within the confines of the Constitution (bending those confines at times). Trump is done with that.

So all trump can't do much to him except insult him...like McTurtle cares about that. He'll just continue being his conniving, scheming, evil self.
