Sedition is illegal. Trump is openly talking the same talk.

Sedition is illegal.

18 U.S. Code 2385 - Advocating overthrow of ...
Whoever, with intent to cause the overthrow or destruction of any such government, prints, publishes

Trump is openly talking the talk that brought Jan 06, 2021.
Why is he given a pass to openly broadcast funding needs, recruiting and lies to support the rebuilding of his seditious organization?

Why is his purported ability to shoot somebody on 5th Ave without recourse not taken as a warning?

6. I love that choice of image

I recall back in the day one of our long-deceased DUers made us wear it to show we would question authority. It's been a long time since I have seen that one.

7. Oh thank you. I guess I chose it as a statement of:

Question everything - especially authority. I wish that I had known about that fellow DU-er and his/her belief.

11. nostamj was the poster

Took me a while to recall back 15 years or so. He was the original TOON poster. Did it every day for years. Wrote a play about questioning authority as I recall for an off-off-Broadway show.

Beloved and one whose loss was felt by all. Probably a few other oldtimers who knew him would remember more.

He would like that you chose his '?' button and your reason.

9. No one is going to charge him with Sedition. Impeachment II was the end of that.

However: why not use the 14th Amendment, Section 3?

Fourteenth Amendment
Section 3
No Person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

13. Are you saying that the second impeachment

immunizes Trump with double jeopardy to prevent sedition charges? My underdtanding is he is only protected from being retried for Jan 06. No law background here.

14. In a practical sense, yes.

Legally, IDK. Someone could try it; my opinion is no one will.

12. Could we limit posts about the ex turd to

"As the ex turd was frog marched out of Magat a Lego, reporters noted that his khakis appeared to be urinated and defecated in. Although it was hard to tell because of the tears and wailing like an infant were hard to ignore."
