Rethugs push for Constitutional Amendment lowering the age required to become president

(Satire alert, for the parody-challenged)

In their "anyone but Romney" campaign, Republicans have found a new potential candidate to rally around: Tim Tebow. To this end, conservatives around the country have announced a push to amend the Constitution to lower the eligibility age to run for President from 35 to 25 - noting that Tebow will turn 25 on August 14th, just in time for the GOP convention.

"We thought about trying to get Jesus Christ to run for the nomination, but unfortunately he wasn't born in the United States, and we can't get his long-form birth certificate," Republican strategist Schitz Ferbrains said. "Therefore, we decided to go for the next best thing - Tim Tebow. He says all the right things, he's a football player, people just love him!" Ferbrains added "We just have to get past that pesky 'gotta be 35' thing in the Constitution, but we're positive we can ram through an amendment before the election."

Because his parents were God-fearing Christian missionaries, I'm sure they'd be willing to overlook that. All the while still demanding Obama's original long-form birth certificate for the millionth time.

Maybe (just maybe, maybe, maybe) that little fact will finally shut up the birther nitwits should Mitt become their standard-bearer in 2012. But probably not, since to their way of "thinking" Mitt isn't a real American anyway.

How many people are aware that Romney's father also ran for president?

They'd win Florida but probably lose the rest of the south because SEC fans got tired of him a long time ago.
