I've done exercises after flu shots ever since a co-worker (who was a veteran) told me they had to do pushups after vaccines in the army.
I'll admit, the Moderna shot felt like quite a ball of liquid going into my arm (unlike the flu shots), so I hope it helps me this time.
Here's a link to some exercises:

Pfizer - the person who did the shot was excellent!
All I felt was a little pressure.
By that night on a 1-10 scale 10 being the worst I was at a 1. Next day Sat was 2-3 but only when raising my arm. Sun went from 2 down to 1/2, by Mon all gone. 👍
So yay!
4/30 for second shot. 🤞👍

(14,818 posts)Got Tylenol, snack bars, and water bottles ready so I'll put them on my night stand before I go out to get next shot just in case I feel too tired to get up say x - 24+ hours after shot #2.
Hopefully I'll be ok. Somewhat achey arm, maybe more tired.
. Actually I didn't even get extra tired.

(3,849 posts)I avoided exercise after my first Pfizer shot and my arm hurt pretty bad for 24 hours, even though I barely felt the shot itself. Did a moderate workout after shot two and had no pain at all. Increasing blood flow to the area was a big help.

(12,209 posts)To reduce pain and discomfort where you got the shot
- Apply a clean, cool, wet washcloth over the area.
- Use or exercise your arm.
