GOOD!

“I always thought, when you negotiate, you come from two different positions, and both people move. That didn’t happen. We moved as a group of Republicans. The president never moved and basically left us in the dust.”

— Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), in an interview with PBS, on the pandemic relief bill.

1. "left in the dust"

would be the remarkably prescient turn of phrase here ...
(even if entirely inadvertent -- and a bit of a 'self own')

3. Exactly -0-

Support from republicans. Not a single vote to help.

That zero makes it real easy to remember.

6. So he treated you the way you've treated us for at least 20 years, Shelly?

"We moved as a group of Republicans."

In other words, you didn't move, you expected us to come to you. And since that didn't happen, you're whining about it.

The "bipartisanship" ball is in your court. You have to offer something worthwhile. Genuinely worth our time. Then we can talk. Assuming we can trust the offer at all, that is.

It's your party that has a long track record of not bargaining in good faith, of dragging out negotiations just to waste everyone's time and then vote against it anyway. It's your party that throws beer parties to celebrate rollbacks of policies that were passed despite your party's knee-jerk obstruction.

You're the people who were ok with the last four years, maybe occasionally mumbling some discontent, but then getting right back in line.

It's up to you to act like legislators again. We already have that part down. And we're damn tired of you and your destructive antics.

7. This interview irritated me.

Every time I see a republican, I think of the horrible voting they do, especially in the past 4 years. I also quit watching Judy on PBS because it seemed every time I did she was softball interviewing a republican. I tuned in last night and there it was.So back to listening to tunes as we make dinner.

9. What the hell

is she doing sitting down for an interview with PBS?! Don't republicans hate PBS and aren't they constantly trying to defund it? Also, I hate all republicans.
