Like voting for DeSantis. Or for him, if Florida sheriffs are elected.

The law will now define a "riot" as a public disturbance involving three or more people "acting with the common intent to assist each other in violent and disorderly conduct" that results in injury to another person, damage to property, or "imminent" danger of injury or damage.
Now who gets to make that call |

10. If only
There were some way to get several big dudes and get them to go protest something two at a time. Yes, there will be others around to take a shift, but only two people actually 'protesting' at any given time. (This law will be federally shot down once they try to enact it on some people. It won't stand, and then the state of Florida can see what it is like when federal officials take over whatever city that this might happen in due to 'mismanagement'. They were so thrilled when the rethug regime took over towns in Michigan, lets see how much they like it when it is their city being taken over.)

13. What horseshit. In SC, mucho people are moving here from other states,
And I wish the state would refuse to allow them to move here unless they’re Democrats/progressives.

14. Full disclosure
This is where I live, but I understand and even agree with most things said here. I have always compared him to sheriff Arpaio and it will be interesting to see if he ever ends up in the same trouble as the Maricopa County Sheriff did. He is very controversial , but there are moments I like him. Not many, but...
Yes, we do vote for the county sheriff here , but he is very popular with the majority. In fact, I think there have been certain times when he ran unopposed. |
