I wonder what Chauvin's life will be like in prison. Things could go wrong between now and then.

Appeals could go on for a long time. The conviction might be overturned. But if he's put in with the general population in prison, he might wish somebody would just go ahead and put a knee on his neck.

there is no way he will be put in genpop, he'll go into protective custody/segregation for his own safety.

man. The primary goal has always been accountability. That doesn't end when he enters prison. I hope he is a miserable human being for the rest of his life. His kind of hatred needs to be removed from our society.

And it's fucking gross and has little to do with accountability in a democratic register.

Why would anyone want to make a martyr of him? Justice is carrying out his sentence--not turning him over to jail vigilantes or mobs. His security is something I think prison authorities will work to ensure, though the isolation will be worse for him.

the Special Needs section. There's no way he can ever go into General Population - he'd be a target for way too many inmates. It's definitely going to be hard time for him.

He has nothing left. His wife left him, barely anyone showed up at his trial for him. i think if he was released he would have never gone to prison.

Hennepin County Jail in downtown Minneapolis, Baby!
