Perfect example of what we encounter every day. She, her brain, could only comprehend the now. He, wanted to talk about the hypothetical world. Neither bad, just different brains.

(26,619 posts)but lately not so much.. I've taken a break. I will watch a clip of this cause I like Fran, and the two of them together is usually funny.
Sounds like his interview with Judge Judy, which was hysterical. He wanted her to talk about all her verdicts and all she would talk about was Bloomberg and how he should be president. She totally punked Bill. He clearly wasn't expecting it.

(42,770 posts)too... But forgetting about Bill for a second... Thought she did not offer any kind of depth/wisdom for today's world. Not did he.
But..Probably shouldn't judge/review anyone for at least 6 months post pandemic... If it ever ends.

(51,584 posts)to watch since he kept interrupting her and they were talking over each other a lot.

(70,683 posts)other. They seem to be soul mates, personally and ideologically. Their general attitude is the "If I were king" thing, a college bull session of knowing more than anybody else.
I don't intend anything negative in what I've said. I like, and share, the contrarian thing. When Fran talked about the plastic sheets around cashiers' stations, I said the same thing back when they started - that they shield nothing floating in the air.
I like them both, including the I-know-better-than-you!1

(70,683 posts)what can be thought, who can't be monitored (MAHER, ROGAN). Too clueless to be "ironic" but they are the ones who claim to be more-Dem/Lib/DU- than ANYBODY ELSE! They seem to have missed the parts of Liberalism about free-thought, free-speech, and not being threatened by hearing out contrariness or *being* contrary!
As for MAHER, the big rap on him seems to be that he hosts wingnuts. Yet I see him as giving the wingnuts rope to hang themselves with and that he confronts them. Although he seems to have fondness for the wingnut women, like he doesn't mind banging them, just enough not to succumb to their wingnuttiness.
I like his anti-religion/theology. And anti-"royalty". Yes, he criticizes Dem strategies, but that is also a Dem/Lib virtue, looking inside for root causes and long term solutions instead of Wingnut looking outside for who to blame and throwing cash at cronies/contractors for non-solutions. We win by fixing what didn't work for us, not by digging in.
*******ON EDIT: DUer said it better than I:

Maybe an unforseen result of year+ long covid nightmare? I find myself so less tolerant of differing opinions myself..( didn't think that was possible)
