Sounds like he is already setting up the reason it will be considered justifiable. They generally consider a vehicle a deadly weapon when heading towards or coming into contact with an officer.

Im not putting a lot of credence into their justified. Police and their das have destroyed their credibility with me.

(10,167 posts)speeding around the corner in an open truck with a bunch of heavily-armed cops decked out in full battle gear in the bed. It looked like war zone footage of some third-world warlord with his crew of mercenaries driving into a village to commit genocide. No wonder the authorities want to cover it up.

(62,270 posts)They kept that camera footage hidden and they did a really shit prosecution and the guys got off. Not to mention one of the cops got PTSD pension for life for killing a man in cold blood.

He got blown away pulling his pants up as he was told to crawl towards the cops. Simply disgusting.
They brought the cop back one day to get him an improved pension.

(62,270 posts)And the fact that they kept the video from the public eye was so that the prosecution would be able to get away with flubbing it. The reason we need to see the body cam footage is for transparency, so we can watch more closely, so the media can be in the courtroom and it's not just some random thing.
I guarantee you if Shaver's story was told, when it happened, nationally, and people were allowed to protest it, it would have gone completely differently. But because they kept it secret it was just a widow pleading for justice who no one cared about because they didn't know about it. It was just some court proceeding in a town somewhere.

(17,862 posts)The copy of the warrant obtained by CNN was marked as "not executed." In the first news conference about the shooting, Wooten said Brown was killed as deputies were attempting to execute the search warrant, but he later stated Brown was killed as deputies served an arrest warrant.
CNN has not been able to obtain the arrest warrant.
I hope the FBI keeps an eye on this. While you can detain on a search warrant, I think the law gets a little more vague.
