McCarthy's future is over now in the House

After publicly going against having a bipartisan commission for Jan. 6th.and if he is called before them under oath he will still lie because he thinks he'll have little to no consequences for it. He will fail trying to hide the truth, and they will all be exposed. If the Democrats refuse to hold some accountable, their party will suffer from that too. How many have secretly flipped already?

I doubt if they’ve thrown in the towel on this insurrection gambit.

That sounds like a man who has a brilliant long future in the Republican Party. Maybe even worthy of their next presidential nomination.

Well, I do get the idea that Liz Cheney is cooperating with patriots, and from the White House visit, and a vote here or there, that perhaps Susan Collins and Joe Biden have some old rapport going back in time. But it's just a hunch based on behaviors I observe.

Let's wait and see.

IF we get the commission going without them and IF he is called to testify . . .

Possibly.

13. You think they'd be anxious to show all their proof that antifa was behind the insurrection

Their reluctance to do that is puzzling.

I heard on the news that they don't want to agree to the commission to avoid giving Democrats "fodder" for the midterms. Yet they somehow believed that Antifa was involved. Guess not (not of course that that was ever a thing to begin with but still)

10. I wish that is the case, however the vast majority of Republicans agree with him.

Is there enough actual patriots in the Republican Party to challenge the insanity that has gripped their party? At the present I would have to conclude that they are a very slim number. They may prevail in the long run, however, it is evident that at the present time they are a voice in the wilderness that is drowned out by the most outrageous demagogues who are in firm control of the Republican Party.

I don't view this as an aberration put the logical result of over forty years of vile propaganda that has made their followers oblivious of the insanity that has gripped their party. This is the basic problem that Washington feared could result from parties that are will not accept any negotiation and demand that their view be accepted as the only solution. It is a case of blind adherence to a party. It does not matter how disgraceful a leader may be. "Yes, we know that he or she is a no good lying bastard without any morals or conscience, but they are our no good bastard." Such blind loyalty that has been instilled in the membership by hated broadcast propaganda that is reinforced daily has created this situation and will not be easily rectified.

and his seat is regarded as safe. If they win back the House in 2022 he will be the next speaker.
