San Francisco's ban on flavored vape products helps struggling cigarette industry.

San Francisco banned flavored vapes in 2018 in an attempt to stem the tide of young people vaping.

The ban is a success with young people turning to more organic and natural choices such as cigarettes made with American tobacco. The cigarette industry is seeing a 30% increase in sales as a result of the ban and San Francisco and the State of cCalifornia are seeing increased tax revenue as well.

Hopefully, a flavor ban can be enacted nationwide with similar results allowing the almost dormant tobacco industry to fight back against the vaping scourge.

Vaping is not a scourge.

Nicotine, in any form, is a highly addictive drug.

Tobacco illnesses and death are the scourge.

What is your stand on illness and death?

More than a few of the new laws against vaping, including ad campaigns, are being funded by...wait for it....big tobacco! I know, shocking, right?!

without bothering to click it, here's an excerpt:

San Francisco’s ban on flavored tobacco product sales was associated with increased smoking among minor high school students relative to other school districts. While the policy applied to all tobacco products, its outcome was likely greater for youths who vaped than those who smoked due to higher rates of flavored tobacco use among those who vaped.5 This raises concerns that reducing access to flavored electronic nicotine delivery systems may motivate youths who would otherwise vape to substitute smoking. Indeed, analyses of how minimum legal sales ages for electronic nicotine delivery systems are associated with youth smoking also suggest such substitution.6
