Michael Flynn to Q-Anon group: "I want to know why what happened in Myanmar can't happen here?"Link to tweet Here is video of former general and National Security Advisor Mike Flynn calling for a Myanmar-like coup to replace the sitting U.S. president with Donald Trump. The talk of war is very real.
Dallas Sunday To be clear he is calling for the army to overthrow the Presidency of the Republic and shoot anyone down who resists the coup. Myanmar recently be like: ![]() Over 800 protesters dead and 4500 detained for having the temerity to protest the illegal overthrow of the duly elected president. A retired general of the USA Army is calling for that... There must be some legal recourse for this shit?! Can someone be court marshalled once they have retired? For bringing the army into disrepute maybe?

Besides the majority Bamar population concentrated in the Irrawaddy Valley and delta, there are significant regional minority populations that have been resisting Bamar rule for several decades. Mike Flynn is simply stirring up the 'downtrodden' Republican True Believers. But the rhetoric, the logic, the insanity has to be wound up higher just to keep the True Believers on the boil. I take it as a good sign, it will all burn out soon enough. A lot will go . . . oh, wait, now you are going too far. The blood of civilians on the streets of Myanmar is bad enough, but you are calling for the same thing here? . . . and wander off in disgust. Only the true nutcases will remain as True Believers. There should be some recourse to what Flynn, Gaetz and Greene are committing. All three are bordering on crimes against the country. Call them what you wish, but they are crimes, whether inciting a coup/revolution or trying to get some whacko to carry out their wishes. One way or another, they are trying to get Trump back in office.
I shudder to think that Biden is heading to Tulsa, tomorrow. As an afterthought, I wonder if the CIA or FBI are watching Flynn and the possibility that he is still connected to Russia? I don't know which one is responsible for this, but it sounds like both could have an interest. Just sayin'. |

every one of us can read it and see how it applies in this situation.
In the past the only people they ever prosecuted for advocaing the overthrow of the U.S. gov't is liberals. However, with the nearing 500 insurrectionist trials, they should have plenty of experience in going after the right now. Here's the conclusion of Juan Cole about how it's been in the past: The far right literally gets away with murder, and no one is talking about locking up the Trump crazies for demanding the overthrow of the US constitution. If they called themselves socialists or if they weren’t white, though, they might well have started being investigated by now. https://www.juancole.com/2020/12/communists-overthrow-constitution.html |

He was at the pentagon and privy to the call from the Capitol Police requesting assistance from the military.
The Washington Post reports that the Army "falsely denied for days that Lt. Gen. Charles A. Flynn" was involved in the key meetings. One of the officials who was on the call told CNN in the days following the insurrection at the Capitol that Flynn was not on the calls, but the military did not confirm his participation until Wednesday. |

44. 12/18/2018 Michael Flynn judge tells ex-Trump official: 'You sold your country out'
Remember Flynn plead guilty and accepted a deal from the DoJ to tell what he knew about Trump and Russia
Flynn reneged on the deal and got a pardon from Trump. BTW i don't buy for a second that Flynn lied to the White House about his conversations with Russia they knew exactly what he was doing. ******** The sentencing of former national security advisor Michael Flynn is postponed less than two hours after it began. Flynn accepts an offer to delay the sentencing when Judge Emmet Sullivan warned he might send Flynn to jail for lying to FBI agents about his conversations with a Russian diplomat shortly before President Donald Trump took office. The judge tells Flynn that “arguably you sold your country out.” https://www.cnbc.com/2018/12/18/judge-tells-michael-flynn-you-sold-your-country-out-at-hearing.html |
