Bought the Washington DC hotel lease from trump, then pressured 20+ foreign government representatives to spend millions there to have access to his Dad ? Hunter would never do this, but you can bet the republicans would be enraged, but they allowed trump to do this. If a president can get away doing this and other crimes, with no severe consequences, we're encouraging even more corrupt people in our government, and a Democracy can't exist with no rule of law , and no equal justice for everyone. There has to be accountability, and we have to be told the whole truth. Politicians should be held to a higher standard , given harsher penalties, and not allowed a privileged free pass because of their present, or pass position. Corruption has to be stopped, or our Democracy can't survive.

has it's own set of rules they'll abide by (no rules whatsoever) and that they'll fight tooth and claw for rules Democrats must abide by (every rule on the books).

Technically it's called "grand hypocrisy", but republicans refer to it as "up yours, suckers".

Absolute fealty. Some Republicans are allowed performative disagreements, but only when it has no teeth and won't change anything. But once the performance is over, it's straight back into line, or else!
