(7,809 posts)Maher tested positive for covid. I'm glad they rescheduled the guests because I like all of them.
I really appreciate that you post these threads here. One question, though: I may be reading the words wrong, but it sounds like HBO runs Real Time at 10:00pm Pacific Time. It may, but I can guarantee you that I watch the new episodes at 7:00 every Friday. I think it may be rerun at 10, but I've gone home by that time. Does the show rerun at 1:00am Saturday Eastern Time?
Thanks!

(205,194 posts)The others that were scheduled were Max Brooks and Dan Carlin. Though I can see how you might confuse Max Brooks and Rob Reiner - sons of Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner, LOL. They are among the very best guests, both are smart and informed - and funny! (No big surprise!) I was thinking earlier that a show with both Rob and Max would be the best, they wouldn't need anything else!
And according to the schedule, HBO Pacific does air the show at 1am. I used to work with TV listings, mostly the Pacific time zone, so I automatically figure the time difference.

(7,809 posts)I did mix up Rob Reiner and Max Brooks! Yeah, understandable for the reason you said. A show with Rob Reiner and Max Brooks would be phenomenal! Having Tyson as the interview guest is just icing on the cake.
Sorry for being so pedantic. This was nothing compared to how it make me feel when I see apostrophes used to form plurals - I gotta reach for the blood pressure medicine!

(41,959 posts)Ive been beyond my breaking point with Maher but Tyson and Reiner will pull me back in. I hope they give him hell. Or at least dont let him get away with his usual bs.

(7,809 posts)I can take Maher's bs. It's when he lets a guest grab the microphone and run with diarrheal bs that gets my dander up. I wanted to throw the TV through the window when Dennis Prager was on. Bill was trying to start New Rules but Prager went off an a jag of insanity and wouldn't let it go.

(25,462 posts)I didn't really understand her opinion. Democrats should stop talking about policy and do more fear mongering like Republicans and it's possible to break into Republicans voters' bubbles to explain things to them, "shove it down their throats"? But she said Democrats won in Georgia because they ran on Covid and infrastructure. Sounds like policy to me. I don't get it.
