Jon Stewart goes after the horrible "Early Start" on CNN.

"Jon Stewart rarely has nice things to say about cable news hosts. But CNN sort of had this coming. Taking a break from the 2012 presidential race Tuesday, Stewart homed in on “Early Start,” a 5 a.m. news show that specializes in cold calling people in the early morning hours.

In one segment, hosts Ashleigh Banfield and Zoraida Sambolin woke up Kerry Kennedy just to chat and ask if she has any “haunting” memories of her fathers campaign. Good morning!

In another, they tried calling comedian Chuck Nice, a guest Stewart approved of. At least there are no family assassinations involved. But the CNN hosts called the wrong person — and then told him it was the FBI.

“CNN, why don’t you stick to what you do best?” Stewart said. “As soon as we figure that out, we’ll let you know what it is.”

Bascially, they cold-call people and harass them. Remember, this is the same CNN that employs Neo-Con Wolf Blitzer.
They are last in ratings for a reason.

Interesting Daily Show bookend here. For their first new show after 9/11 a lot of people were wondering how they would handle it. They ended up doing a bit that was actually poking fun at the fact that Banfield had changed her appearance right after the attacks because she was worried about appearing too feminine while reporting from Pakistan and wanted to 'blend in'. The piece was hilarious. Mo Rocca was reporting from Pakistan dressed as an Imam and Colbert from Germany dressed as Hitler.

I think that really made a lot of people feel better after the attacks.

I have to guess there was a lot of cocaine during the brainstorming meeting.
