WHO - says "children should NOT be vaccinated for the moment

Straight from the WHO website today 👉 “Children should NOT be vaccinated for the moment. There is not yet enough evidence on the use of vaccines against COVID-19 in children to make recommendations for children to be vaccinated against COVID-19.” https://who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/covid-19-vaccines/advice

2. Another child... How many others?

I am curious how many others there are. What are the numbers? No known medical conditions. The known being the important word there. I agree more needs to be understood if there is an issue or not. But what are the numbers we are talking a out and are the cases similar?

3. So will schools requiring vaccines change their policies

CORONAVIRUS
The top vaccines expert at the World Health Organization (WHO) said children do not need a COVID-19 vaccine to return to school during a social media session on Thursday.

Dr. Kate O'Brien said children should not be a focus when considering the administration of doses, even as rich countries are beginning to authorize the use of vaccines for children and teenagers.

On May 14, WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus spoke during a digital conference, and urged wealthier countries to refrain from vaccinating children and adolescents, instead donating the unused vaccines to lower income countries, the BBC reported. https://www.newsweek.com/kids-dont-need-covid-vaccine-go-back-school-give-shots-adults-instead-who-expert-1597380

5. Many collages are - and it's teens & young adults most at risk

For myocarditis. Sounds like mostly boys. We don’t yet know the risk for the younger ones. But there also are thrombotic events, leg paralysis, etc. Many of these kids are posting on TicToc from their hospital rooms and rehab facilities. VAERS is now getting more reports about teens and serious side effects.

6. Colleges generally have students who are over 18.

They are not considered kids, and WHO isn't talking about them.

8. Correct - from WHO

The COVID-19 vaccines are safe for most people 18 years and older, including those with pre-existing conditions of any kind, including auto-immune disorders. These conditions include: hypertension, diabetes, asthma, pulmonary, liver and kidney disease, as well as chronic infections that are stable and controlled.

7. Remember - VAERS is largely self-reported,

and very high percentage of the incidents reported are unrelated to the vaccine.

That isn't to say that it should not be investigated. But so far those reports are at the stage the rare clotting disorder associated with the adenovirus vector vaccines were when generic blood clots were reported (in approximately the same number as generic clots were reported in unvaccinated people). This may turn out to be something - as the J&J reports did - OR - it may turn out to be completely coincidental.
