procedural question regarding bills.

So if we have this so-called bipartisan bill on infrastructure and it passes house , gets put up for vote in senate and goes down because repubs renege on it, can we reintroduce
the original Biden proposal as part of the reconciliation package ?

I assume a new bill would have to be written, pass house and senate ( with 50 votes under reconciliation) . Hopefully that's plan B if the deal is actually scuttled.

One path with the bipartisan bill making its way along. The other track is the democratic priorities on a bill that will pass with only Dems in reconciliation. This was discussed at length on Lawrence O'Donnell last night with a Senator.

a list of say, 1 to 3, while the full infrastructure bill has 1 to 3 and 4 to 6. I expect them to put the smaller bill up first and if McConnell blocks it, they'll push the other through reconciliation. Quite clever.
