The end of an era

The greatest announcer in NBA history. Marv was also great at hockey. I watched his last game last night knowing it could be the end and it was. We will miss you.

2. The hairpiece with the golden voice. He is a legend.

He overcame a serious publicity setback to rise back to the top. His voice and the excitement he brought to the broadcast booth will be missed. But he deserves to slow down and enjoy the fruits of his long career of work.

3. The guy is a talent on the mic

Extremely knowledgeable about basketball and other sports, of course.

But I cannot hear Marv Albert without harkening back to the 1990s when he was accused of biting a woman during sex. Guess I never quite thought of him the same after that.

4. Unfortunately, hitting women was not unusual in the early 90s.

I believe that Hillary Clinton totally changed the dynamic on women’s rights and got those rights moving to where we are today. In fact, before Hillary, a woman getting a restraining order against an abusive man was a very difficult, almost impossible process.

5. Not much of a send off at the game imo.
