Mask report from Connecticut

Just got back from the local supermarket. A substantial majority of people were back to berating masks. Even a week ago very few were wearing them at the market. Clearly people are concerned about the delta variant. My wife wore one. I didn't. I'll wait for directions from Governor Lamont. He's steered me right so far.

not? Covid's not the only thing the mask protects from, so it makes sense.

I've looked at that as an unintended benefit.

It's perfectly OK to protect yourself and your family right now.

Are people literally berating you if you wear a mask? That's horrible; surprising in New England.

I'm sorry if I gave that impression. I personally find them suffocating. I'll wait for the science people to tell me to put one on.

I spent the weekend in San Francisco and I'd say maybe 1 in 10 were masked and we were generally around locals.

I think I saw maybe 5 people with masks on while my wife and I were down near Comerica Park on Saturday. The bars and restaurants were packed though.
