Why the Jan 6 commission committee should just go ahead and do it now,

Call for orange Hitler to appear under oath before them, because he'll do everything to stall it, and use the courts to try to instead not have to appear in person. He needs to be made to appear under oath period, with no exceptions given or they'll exploit it , and refuse others to appear also.
No free passes, he's not above the law, and has to appear under oath just like everyone else has to. He will try to stall having to do it over and over again. It should also be publicly done. The DOJ and this commission needs to set an example, and not let it become stalled and bogged down, and make him accountable like everyone else. No excuses allowed. This also doesn't give him more time to try to corrupt this commission, or the courts, which he will try to do.

Everyone has to appear under oath if called, with no excuses or exceptions, or they'll all face equal consequences. He will try to stall it anyway. He thinks he and those he choses are above the law. If anything he should be held to a higher level of abiding by the law, not given allowances most never get to escape accountability. Either justice applies equally to all , or it doesn't.

At what level of malfeasance will Orange-pus-bag be physically dragged in? It REALLY appears he could get by with an absolute attempt to overthrow of the Government and end up retiring to a Florida compound of luxury. By the way, we know that is what actually happened. Stark reality! We will see what happens.

that Congress has the authority to enforce subpoenas and penalize those who do not comply, they would refuse to take the case.

1- Trump will fight it in court all the way to SCOTUS, bet on it, and it will be a huge fundraising/grifter opportunity for him
2- The focus will go to Trump, which is good and bad. Other assholes helped cook up this assault on democracy besides him.
3- Valuable time and resources will go to him, when we need all the evidence. We all know he will lie his ass off, even if he appeared voluntarily.

about Trump drawing all the attention to.himself. The committee could get testimony from other witnesses about their dealings with Trump regarding the insurrection, maybe even enough to file criminal charges against the orange fascist. By the time others have testified about the insurrection, TFG might be demanding that he be able to give testimony on his version of events. No subpoena necessary.

trump's henchmen use to keep him from testifying, may overshadow the actual hearings, which are far more important to expose what happened, and those responsible for encouraging it

Let others testify and no subpoena of TFG will be necessary. He will beg to testify in order to give his version of events to counter the testimony of others.

demand his right to testify to his own version.

Or, he might just use rallies and media to give his "alternate facts." At that point a subpoena could be issued.
