I've been working 95% from home since the pandemic started, only going into the office once or twice a week for a handful of hours to manage paperwork or meetings/interviews that can't be Zoomed.
We were supposed to begin transitioning to a 3/2 split next week (3 days at office, 2 days home). That's being scrapped. Corporate is now saying, "We will re-assess in September."
Friends of mine in tech are reporting similar. People were supposed to start going back in late summer/early fall, and it's all being cancelled until further notice.
So this is happening.

Work from home, unless you absolutely need to be in the office and have supervisory approval for it.

Newp.
I'm grateful I have my job when so many have lost theirs. But I'm wondering when corporate will just throw their hands in the air and go, screw it. Your job is just at home most of the time now.
I mean, so far, nothing's really been affected work or efficiency wise. I think a lot of work places where it's mainly paperwork, phone calls, and meetings have realized, "Wait, we really don't need to be here every day."
Outside of a few things I do need to be there in person for - which I try to schedule for the same day each week - everything works fine.
