Disney World to require mandatory vaccines.
For salaried, non Union employees. Effective 60 days from now.
In addition, starting today all employees and guests must wear masks indoors, regardless of vaccination status. They are really throwing down the gauntlet.

1. Good luck Ronnie!
If you think you can step on Disney and come away unscathed.
I'm glad to see this. |

2. Yeah. And where Disney goes other attractions normally follow.
The wife and I are surprised at this. But very pleased.
They can’t require it of the hourly employees because that involves collective bargaining. People are surprised to learn Disney is a unionized company. Will be interested to see how the state responds. Needless to say, Disney carries a little bit of clout in Tallahassee. |

3. I think everyone should follow MGM's model.
Mandatory vaccinations required and stiff penalties for those who don't which can include fines, furloughs or even firings!

4. KR! And, there's this in Florida..
Mayors of 2 Florida counties have broken with Gov. Ron DeSantis and imposed vaccine and mask mandates
Mayor Daniella Cara Levine of Miami-Dade county has ordered that indoor county facilities require masks. Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings declared that all 4,200 non-unionized counties get fully vaccinated by the end of September. Meanwhile, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has opposed new restrictions for the COVID-19 pandemic, even as cases surge. https://www.yahoo.com/news/mayors-2-florida-counties-broken-033706264.html ![]() Stay Safe Floridians where I have Family! ![]() ![]() |

5. I hope they have large fines for bogus documents
Like Canada, make it a $20,000 fine with jail time if they try to get in when unvaccinated.

6. I think termination of employment is a hell of a fine.
Lying to the company at Disney is a career ender.
No word yet on what documents will be required. This is just for salaried, nonunion employees. Maybe 15-20% of the workforce. Guests are unaffected. |

8. No firearms allowed. They search at the gate.
Have one and deputies are there quickly for a trip to 33rd street(the county jail). And Florida is not open carry. Do it in any city and you are going to jail.
Reminds me back in the late 90’s. Disney was one in the first in the nation to give benefits to same sex couples. Almost 20 years before gay marriage was legal. The Baptist had a silly boycott. The result? Disney did not back down and less bigots in the parks. |
