I'm 100% for Joe's decision to bring troops home from Afghanistan, BUT

I do worry about the people left there PLUS i also worry about the Afghans we bring to America, when we all witness the bloodshed we are sure to see. Will some of these Afghans (that we bring to America) turn on us back here? Really gonna be scary to watch. Plus i'm sure the RETHUGS will be using this against us in midterms.

The people we are helping worked for the us military and their families. They have earned our help and our support. Best if you stay off conservative sites.

It is common to hear right wing point of view on quote unquote reputable news sources. I worked with someone from Iran in the 80's. His family had to flee because of their pro democracy stance. He faced discrimination because of where he was from.

Trump signed a tentative peace deal with the Taliban stating all troops would be removed from Afghanistan by the end of 2021. That was the only thing holding the ceasefire together. Biden could have attempted to renegotiate, but it likely would have resulted in him increasing Afghan troop levels to 14,000+ (the military claims that's the lowest total we can have there and effectively keep any level of peace).

That just isn't the right answer.

There is no right answer, unfortunately. But there's a less wrong one and that's to bring the troops home and stop these forever wars.

There is little we can do to change the situation and there could easily be a civil war since the country has been in a civil war since 1979.

I doubt the Afghans who helped the troops will turn on the US and they have probably been screened thoroughly.

I do worry about long term problems with troops. I left the Army 13 years ago and I’m still dealing with mental health problems from the Iraq war.

I can really understand the long term problems. (because of this war) I wish you the best. I'm sure you're right about the screening process. (never thought of that being a civilian.) I Can't help but worrying about these things. You take care!

much of anything these days. Certainly not what any Republican says. The bloodshed we are sure to see because of Afghani's coming to this country, because of their aid to Americans? Who's going to kill them? If they stay out of red states they should be fine.
