BUT this PARTICULAR political ploy would NEVER have been used by ANY Republican (much less a Freidmanista like Newt or for that matter Perry) UNLESS their polling showed that "populism" was gaining traction. And the Occupy movement is the ONLY difference between now and pre September.

IOW, Occupy HAS had an effect on the political process in spite of a vocal minority on here that says it hasn't. That was my point.

This is why I want to see Elizabeth Warren winning the US Senate from Scott Brown in 2012 and winning the Presidency in 2016. That is someone who will Occupy Washington DC for the American people.
