These people in Ark on MSNBC are too stupid ...

… to be allowed to participate in a functioning society. Sorry - no link. Just saw the segment on the R Gov being heckled by five moronic dudes, one old drunk chick and some fella with green teeth.

Republican right-wing operatives know that educated, informed people will not vote against their own interests, whereas weak-willed, indoctrinated people (the republican base) will gladly swallow lies and merrily vote against their own interests.

They’re everywhere.

And there are plenty of smart people in Arkansas. For some reason, the only ones we ever see from the media are the ones you have described here. I would really like to know why they do that. This type of coverage does nothing to help Arkansans with their corona virus outbreak.

Our media could be helping people, yet they insist on this type of coverage. I find it shameful.

Spoiler: Don't wait for ABBOTT to repent of anything he does, not this same policy one as Asa's.

Another one of those ETERNAL questions. First, here a partial list of the Eternal Questions:

1) How can a decent human ever be a Repuke?
2) How can any minority or member of other discriminated group ever be a Repuke (the Clarence THOMAS, Alberto GONZALES, the Log Cabins)?

But the specific one for today is: How come things that are SO OBVIOUS to some of us nobodies who have no special access or resources are BELIEVED by crazed wingnuts? – Like, how come they believed the Iraq attack; how come they believe in ABBOTT and CRUZ; how come they believe in Wingnuttiness?

So here comes one Asa HUTCHINSON. Remember him from days of yore, has always been a pain in the ass and with a goody-goody façade. So he has implemented the same wingnut crap as other wingnut squatters-in-office like ABBOTT. But now with the PREDICTABLE (to me/Dems) results of COVID rampant spread, AWwww, dear Asa now sees the error of his wingnut ways. Oh, but he says couldn’t have been any other way since a veto would be over-ridden and at that time the Covid rate was improving. AWwww.

Arkansas’ Republican Governor Admits Mistake on Mask Mandates as Cases Soar: ‘I Wish That Had Not Become Law’

With Covid-19 cases surging in his state, Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R-AR) wishes he could take back the ban on local mask mandates that he signed into law.

The governor indicated his about-face at a briefing on Tuesday. A reporter questioned Hutchinson on the legislation he signed in late April forbidding local officials from implementing mandates. ....

Hutchinson cited the state’s then-improving Covid outlook, as well as a likely override from the state legislature, as his reasons for signing the mask mandate ban. Now, however, he has reversed course.

“Everything has changed now,” Hutchinson said. “And yes in hindsight, I wish that had not become law. But it is the law. And the only chance we have is either to amend it or for the court to say that it has an unconstitutional foundation.” ....
