Not going too far, look at Venezuela, that is not Socialism, it is Communism/Dictatorship (they are the same, its like having twins, they are identical but with different names), people there are eating from the garbage, they are standing on long lines to buy bread and sometimes when they get there the bread is gone.

That is the wet dream of republicans.

but really we want to go full Soviet and put everyone on the Maduro diet to solve our obesity problem.

You're thinking of authoritarianism, of which Trump and many RWers would happily force onto us. When people claimed 2020's empty shelves, PPE shortages, full hospitals, mass deaths, etc. were a trial run for socialism, I had to remind them that all that happened while Trump was president.
